The original Mk2 Saloon front seats are somewhat dated and uncomfortable by modern standards. They offer no lateral support’s and the majority do not even have the reclining option. We can supply a set of seat mountings, which will enable the MK2 owner to fit the later XJ6 series of front seats and XJS seats.

The photograph above right, shows a set of mounting brackets four in total, these brackets have to be welded into the car after the original seat mountings have been removed.

These modern seats offer the driver good lateral support all of them recline and the Vanden Plas seats can be retrimmed to match the original MK2 style.

Another advantage of fitting a modern seat is that they have the option to fit head restraints, which obviously give greater safety to occupants in the event of an accident.
